Natural regimens for children diagnosed Autistic and ADHD? What have you tried with some sucess or observed?

Seems my kid's doc wants t prescribe meds to treat Autism and ADHD. If there are natural interventions that can help I would much rather try these first. However the doc feels this would be useless. He comes off almost adamant that the meds must be used and that doing anything else would be a waste of time. He totally dismisses that immunizations have anything to do with Autism and is pro everything that I am simply not sure of. Which causes me to feel a little pressured. I've been considering
