Is there anyway to subdue get over adhd?

I have adhd, becuase of it, I act really weird sometimes and sometimes I can't stop talking or can't talk at all. I hate it! It's ruining my life. Is there anyway I can get over it or subdue it? I take a pill for it but I don't think it's helping much. Help! Ten
