How does an ADHD diagnostic test work?

I'm 16 years old, and I have an appointment in February to see a doctor for an evaluation to see whether or not I can be prescribed medicine for ADHD. I was just wondering what this process would entail, seeing as the appointment will be 2 hours long. Approximately 30 minutes of those minutes would be spent filling out paperwork and stuff like that, but I was just curious.
