How can I stay patient with my ADHD child?

She is 10, I expect her to misbehave sometimes, but with ADHD, she can't follow directions. I get stressed and yell because I expect her to listen when I am asking her to do one simple thing, but she is in lala land. I really don't want to medicate, but I feel bad for yelling at her to pay attention. I don't have time to read ADHD books, I have classes and work. Is there an ADHD for dummies book?
